LUMEN, RAISESuite, DataCommons & DataGEMS join forces to advance European Open Science
LUMEN has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RAISE Suite, EOSC Data Commons, and DataGEMS. This partnership unites four forward-thinking European projects to enhance cross-domain collaboration, improve data discovery, and drive the adoption of Open Science principles across Europe.
The MoU establishes a structured framework for cooperation, enabling the projects to align efforts and contribute to a more interconnected, interoperable, and trusted European research landscape. By working together rather than in isolation, the projects aim to address key challenges faced by researchers and support the development of a more sustainable and effective European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) ecosystem.
The collaboration will focus on four key areas:
- Sustainability & EOSC Integration: Sharing expertise and best practices to ensure long-term value, sustainability, and seamless integration of project outcomes within the EOSC ecosystem.
- Communication & Event: Coordinating outreach activities and jointly organizing events to maximize visibility, engagement, and impact.
- Technical Collaboration: Exploring opportunities to align architectures, standards, and interfaces, enabling scalable and sustainable interoperability between the solutions.
- User Support & Use Cases: Exchanging insights and coordinating support activities to better understand and address the needs of diverse research communities
LUMEN coordinator Suzanne Dumouchel comments:
“This partnership brings together the complementary expertise of four projects with a shared commitment to strengthening the European Research landscape. LUMEN is proud to contribute its vision of innovative, AI-powered data discovery solutions while working alongside its partners to advance interoperability, support researchers, and foster Open Science across the EOSC ecosystem.”
