Meta-Search Service

Leveraging technologies and approaches developed in the GoTriple platform, the LUMEN Meta-Search Engine features advanced multilingual search capabilities, visualisation tools, Boolean operators, and a recommendation engine that supports cross-domain suggestions.

The service harvests and semantically enriches metadata from federated platforms, linking data across domains to enable serendipitous discovery and interdisciplinary research. It supports item-to-item recommendations (e.g., related datasets, software tools, or publications) and is fully aligned with the LUMEN metadata model and federated data governance framework.

The LUMEN Meta-Search Engine is developed as a domain-agnostic EOSC service, aligned with the EOSC Interoperability Framework and eligible for onboarding via EOSC Nodes. By aggregating and enriching metadata from federated platforms, it enhances cross-domain discovery and supports the long-term visibility and sustainability of research outputs within the EOSC ecosystem.
