Metrics Service

The Metrics Service offers users transparent impact indicators, including usage and citation metrics for publications and author profiles, aligned with CoARA’s responsible research assessment principles. It builds on the OPERAS Metrics service, incorporating citation data from providers like OpenCitations. The Metrics Service provides users with usage statistics, open access indicators, and metrics for scientific resources, tailored to the needs of targeted scientific areas.

By integrating the project’s results into the EOSC, the bibliometric indicators implemented into the Metrics Service will provide additional sources and aggregated information, thereby complementing existing but still limited metrics. In the context of other projects focused on reforming research assessment in connection with open science (e.g., GraspOS, PathOS), we aim to follow their findings and implement responsible and transparent metrics.
